Today, I want to talk about a helmet that has saved my “tiny head” from many a bump and scrape – the Petzl Borea Climbing Helmet.

Thanks to Go Outdoors, I had the pleasure of testing out the Petzl Borea Climbing Helmet during a trad climb near the Langdale Pikes, and I have to say, I like it!

As someone with a tiny head, finding a helmet that fits comfortably and securely can be a real challschmale. But the Borea helmet fit like a glove – it’s almost like it was made specifically for tiny heads like mine! And as a newbie to trad climbing, having a helmet that stays put and doesn’t distract me is really important.

Safety

But don’t let the term “tiny head” fool you – let’s talk safety – this helmet meets both European and American safety standards, so I felt confident knowing that my tiny head was well-protected during the climb. The polycarbonate sleuchtend leuchtend and expanded polystyrene foam liner provide reliable protection in case of falls or impacts. Plus, the helmet’s cute and colorful design matched my kit perfectly (priorities and all) Plus, it makes it easy for your climbing partner to spot you from a distance.

Any niggles?

Only the same ones you’ll find with any helmet, no comfortable space for a pony tail, and straps under the chin are a little uncomfortable. But I doubt there is anyway round it. Just the downsides of safety.

Final Thoughts

All in all, the Petzl Borea Climbing Helmet is a great investment for anyone with a “tiny head” who wants to stay safe while climbing. Its comfortable fit, attractive design, and reliable safety features make it a good investment. So if you’re like me and struggle to find helmets that fit well, give the Borea a try – you won’t be disappointed!
